DAS Membership
Why not become a member of the UK’s biggest anaesthetic subspecialist society with over 2500 members, providing a focus for all clinicians wishing to improve the standard of airway management. Since its founding in 1995, DAS has evolved into the world’s largest and most active international airway management society.
Privileges of the membership of the Society shall include
• Notification of dates of Society meetings
• Reduced registration rates for Society meetings.
• Access to Society information, web forums, online educational and scientific resources and the DAS publications.
• Access to member-only funding and academic opportunities
• Eligibility for Full Members to vote for new Executive Committee members

DAS Annual Scientific Meetings
The DAS Annual Scientific Meeting is usually held in a rotating UK venue every Winter. The meeting is granted Continuing
Professional Development (CPD) approval by the Royal College of Anaesthetists at a tariff of 5 points per full day. A trade reception and Gala dinner are also held.
DAS Award and Science
Awards consist of the following:
The DAS Macewan Medal, The Adrian Pearce Award and Life Membership and an Industry Award.
Supported projects include:
DAS Professor of Anaesthesia and Airway Management, the DAS Faculty or Professors, the DAS PhD, DAS Grants via the NIAA and Direct Grants.

Become a member
There are two membership categories: Full and Associate.
Full membership is open to anyone medically qualified whether practicing in the UK and registered with the GMC or overseas (registered with their GMC equivalent).
Associate membership is for non-medically qualified persons such as Operating Department Practitioners (ODP’s) and nurses.
The current Full Membership subscription fee is £40 a year, whilst Associate Membership is only £10 a year. Associate Members enjoy the same rights and privileges as Full Members but are not allowed to vote at the Annual General Meeting.

Full membership is open to anyone medically qualified, practicing in the UK and registered with the GMC.

Associate membership is for non-medically qualified persons such as Operating Department Practitioners and nurses.

Overseas Full Member
Overseas Full membership is open to anyone medically qualified and registered with their GMC equivalent.
