Course Description
 
The GOSH Paediatric Difficult Airway Course is aimed for anaesthetic consultants and trainees, ODPs and anaesthetic nurses that wish to develop, improve and update their skills on the management of children with difficult airway. The focus of the day is to give you hands on experience and to share our expertise. Airway specialist consultant paediatric anaesthetists will present short lectures before you have the opportunity to practice with difficult airway devices and techniques. The management of real paediatric difficult airway cases will discussed in small groups giving  everyone a chance to share experiences.

Airway Management Stations
 
  • Fiberoptic Intubation Techniques
  • Videolaryngoscopes: Airtraq, Glidescope, C-MAC & McGRATH
  • Simulation
  • Tracheostomies
  • Cricothyroidotomy
  • Case scenario discussion

Each course has a maximum of 30 candidates and costs £200 for doctors and £150 for ODPs/anaesthetic nurses (lunch and refreshments are included). 

The course is held at the centrally located Double Tree Hilton hotel in Bloomsbury WC1.
 
Approved for 5 CPD credits by the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
