Course Details
This innovative course in Portugal was designed mainly for medical professionals who need to manage and control patients’ airway. It is a three day course, held in English, completely hands-on, where participants are able to get expertise in managing airway devices and their application in the difficult airway algorithms. The course includes training in simulators and animal models, as well as development of non-technical skills in high fidelity simulation scenarios, in School of Medicine – University of Minho. It allows participants to increase knowledge and skills in fibroscopy, FONA and airway ultrasound.
Faculty members of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine work at the Difficult Airway Management Groups of Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho, Centro Hospitalar Universitário São João, Hospital de Braga, Instituto Português de Oncologia do Porto, Centro Hospitalar Entre Douro e Vouga, Centro Hospitalar de Lisboa Ocidental, Centro Hospitalar de Leiria and Unidade Local de Saúde de Matosinhos.
