Applications for DAS Lay Member

We are delighted to announce that the DAS committee is now accepting applications for the role of Lay Member.
 
The Lay member will advise the committee on the public perspective with regards to matters
arising within committee meetings. The ideal candidate will have:
 
• Governance expertise – likely in the public sector, if not the NHS (essential).
• Well-rounded and can think outside of the box (essential).
• Experience of the NHS, patient groups, business, charity work, ethics/law, event
organising, academia (desirable).

Application process:
 
• Applications open from 1st September to 23:59 (BST) on 30th September 2024.
• Cover letter and CVs are reviewed by DAS Executive and the top candidates invited
to interview.
• Interviews will be conducted the week commencing 14th October 2024.
• Results will be announced to members at the DAS Annual Members Meeting.
• The tenure of DAS Lay Member will initially be for a period of two years from
announcement of results.
