The Difficult Airway Society and Royal College of Anaesthetists' joint project to produce the patient information leaflet, 'Your Airway and Breathing during Anaesthesia' has been updated in October 2023. It explains how and why the anaesthetist manages your airway and breathing during anaesthesia.

2023 DAS Trainee Competition
We are pleased to announce the 2023 DAS Trainee Competition with TWO separate categories:
1. creative writing (our essay competition)
2. creative media (this may be whatever you wish: painting, video, poetry, photo series...the list goes on)
The winner of each category will receive £100 in prize money and will have their work published in the DAS newsletter and displayed at the 2023 DAS ASM.

Airway Matters - MOOC

UCL & UCLH who are producing a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on airway management, entitled Airway Matters.  The course has been endorsed by DAS and will commence on 27 April 2020.  It is a free online course that runs over 5 weeks, with a flexible 4 hours of learning per week.  It explores the key concepts that underpin safe airway management through articles, video interviews with experts, patient stories, discussion and interactive activities.
