DAS Grants
The importance of research, and collaborative academia to understand, inform, and improve clinical practice has been highlighted time and again throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. DAS hopes to continue supporting academic anaesthesia, and we are excited to announce that, alongside bi-annual Large and Small Project Grants awarded via the National Institute of Academic Anaesthesia (NIAA), DAS now welcomes direct applications for small funding support for planned airway-related research. These DAS grants will be available throughout the year. More information on DAS Grants can be obtained by contacting DAS Scientific Officer, Dr Kariem El-Boghdadly on [email protected].

Direct applications for small funding support for planned airway-related research.
To ensure continuity and sustainability of grass-roots airway management research, we have now agreed to have a rolling process of grant funding via direct application to DAS. Applications for funding of up to £5,000 for studies broadly related to airway management will be peer-reviewed. These DAS grants will be available throughout the year.
