North East Region Difficult Airway Society (NERDS) Workshop

Course aims: 

To provide training in common equipment, techniques and decision-making for managing the difficult airway, for anaesthetists in training and anyone seeking to improve or refresh their skills in this field. 

Course objectives: 

1. Learn a variety of practical techniques for managing expected and unexpected difficult airways. 

2. Understand the techniques available for managing the difficult paediatric airway. 

3. Discuss the role of human factors in decision-making in difficult airway cases.
