The Shared Airway

This one day course aimed at ENT surgeons and anaesthetists teaches a combined approach to the challenges of Sharing the Airway when operating on patients with Head & Neck pathology. The faculty consists of consultant Head & Neck surgeons and anaesthetists from Glasgow Royal Infirmary and Gartnavel General Hospital. The course has been approved for 5 CPD points by RCoA. The topics covered in lecures and work stations include

• Anaesthetic & Surgical airway equipment
• Laser safety
• Ventilation techniques including High Frequency Jet Ventilation
• Nasal endoscopy
• Tracheostomy
• Case discussions
