I have been a consultant in Cardiff since 2001.The initial nine years as a consultant in paediatric intensive care and latterly in a recovery phase as an adult general anaesthetist! My involvement with DAS stems from chairing the organisation of the a much enjoyed DAS meeting in Cardiff in 2012. Along with my co-editor Sajay I now compile the Newsletter armed only with the ‘Economist Style Guide’, a Chambers Dictionary app and Adobe Acrobat. Any ideas for articles and complaints regarding spelling and grammar please send to me. When not anaesthetising or at home with my family I will often be out cycling, the ‘new golf’ for the middle aged.
