Can you help?

DAS is putting together a project looking at evaluating new laryngoscopes to see if they match or improve upon the performance of our current “Gold Standard” – the Macintosh. Two bright young anaesthetists are developing software for DAS that will enable us to collect and collate information from lots of anaesthetists like you and me who are using videolaryngoscopes in our daily practice. If you have access to videoscopes or other intubation devices and would be prepared to contribute to a nationwide evaluation project then drop me a line at [email protected] to express interest (with no commitment). Hopefully inside a year we should have loads of data on how these devices perform & will start to be able to provide information to the anaesthetic community at large (success rates, ease of intubation etc) that will help us in our choice of intubation aids.
