I am a Consultant Anaesthetist at the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics in Oxford. I graduated from Cambridge University and still support them in the Varsity Matches and the Boat Race! I did surgery and emergency medicine before enetering anaesthetic training. I completed fellowships in Advancd Airway Management and Regional Anaesthesia. I am Airway Lead in the Trust. My main research interests are in Difficult Airway management and Regional Anaesthesia. My particular areas of research are in apnoeic ventilation, high flow nasal oxygenation, airway ultrasound, and airway training as well as enhanced recovery with regards to regional and orthopaedic anaesthesia. I am a lecturer in Medicine at St Hilda's College where I spend lots of my academic time and for the rest of it I teach within the Medical and Surgical Divisions in the Trust.
